Tara and her father were in the garden.
It had been raining heavily for days.
The rain had damaged some young plants.
Father was fixing supports for those.
He inserted sticks on the ground next to those plants.
Then he made those plants rest on the sticks.
Tara was watching that with great interest.
She helped father to find the sticks.
“Plants too need support at times” father explained.
“Especially when they are still young” he added.
She noticed that the yellow rose plant too was bent to ground.
Tara inserted two sticks on the ground next to that.
Afterwards she made the plant rest on the sticks.
Mother saw what Tara and father were doing.
“That’s good work” she praised them with a broad smile.
“Once you have finished come and have tea” she said.
What caused damage to plants?
Why did father insert sticks on the ground?
What did Tara notice about the yellow rose plant?
