No-sign

Curly and Sweety waited.

They did not want to play badminton.

They were too excited about the car ride.

They waited eagerly.

More than an hour passed.

There was no sign of the boys or the car.

“They would have forgotten us” Sweety said soberly.

Curly looked at her friend.

“They should keep the promise” she told her friend.

Mama Rabbit tried to console the girls.

“They will come soon” she assured.

Another hour passed.

Mama Rabbit too started getting worried.

She went to the grocery.

“Why don’t you go and check” she asked her husband.

Papa Rabbit left the grocery leaving his wife there.

He went towards the ground.

The ground was empty.
